Magic Crystal Hair Remover

I must admit that I was a little skeptical about the Magic Crystal, but I needed an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic razors, and I was sick of cutting myself virtually every shave, so I thought I'd give it a try, and I am very impressed. It takes a bit longer than shaving, but the result is the same, beautifully smooth legs and no cuts. I recently had a tattoo on my leg and the information on the website assured me that it wouldn't damage tattoos, which it didn't. There was lots of guidance on the website on how to use the Magic Crystal which was very helpful. I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to use these instead of razors

Okay, I will not lie, I was super skeptical about this product when purchasing it. At the same time I thought, well it's a cheaper, smaller version than that new Bleame product that has been so aggressively advertised on Insta but has been on the market much longer so let's give them a shot first. The advertisements for this specific product do look a bit sketch on their website (looks rather photo-shopped), however, I can attest as a woman with super thick, dark, coarse leg hair, earning my ten year-old self the title of wolf girl... this little glass glitter bomb works!!! It does take a little getting used to as far as how much or how little pressure to apply but be patient and go over the same circle several times. Apply enough pressure to exfoliate, but not so much that it feels like your mom frantically srcubbing a temporary tattoo from your skin before school on a monday. I have only used this product on my legs as it is not recommended for "softer" skin or joints (bikini line). I will say that since buying this product, I have also purchaed Bleame to try and compare. The glass layer on Bleame is much coarser and it is much easier to irritate/ scrape your skin into strawberry hell with Bleame and would not recommend. (and that's without mentioning their gross green-washing tactics, but I digress). My magic crystal package came in a nice neat little cardboard box. super discreet and fits into any purse or toiletry bag. Honestly, I hang out in front of screens so often, at least now I can "shave" while also catching up on netflix. I do reccommend sitting on a towel so that any hair or skin that sloughs off can be easily cleaned, aka thrown in the washer. My only complaint about this product was that I had to order from the UK website in order to send it to Germany because the Spain website would only allow on their drop-down menu to ship in Spain so I ended up getting charged import tax which was more than the product itself. I hope my essay review is of some help to those still on the fence about this eco-friendly alternative to shaving with an over priced pink razor.

** side note: the product does come shipped in a plastic box that is inside of cardboard box, the ring suction cup is plastic, and its "carrying case" is also a little plastic sleeve. If you are looking for a completely plastic free alternative, those were the only three pieces of plastic involved, with only one piece (the plastic box) being single-use. Hope this helps :)
